History & Origin
Julann is a joined double name, a Jul- element (Julia or June) plus Ann ('grace'). Julia comes from the Roman family name Julius. It appears in United States records from around 1937, with a small high in the early 1960s, in the fashion for run-together names.
It was always rare, given to only a couple dozen girls a year at its peak, and faded by the mid-1970s. It reads as a period double name, shortened easily to Julie or Jules. It has not revived, though Julia is now widely popular on its own.
