Indeed, this was a helpful article and educational. I will be researching about imaginary friends and how to help my child feel more at ease with his feelings. I am a strong parent and expect the best from my children but, perhaps hurting them too by over controlling them. Today, I was taken back to my childhood by reading this article and made me understand, children need to be address as they are children not groun-ups. Its hard to understand for us "parent" and adults but, we need to take a step back and relax so, our kids healthy mind develop freely and not rush, rush like our everyday lives.
