In Santa Monica California there is an incredible Magic theater called Magicopolis it's perfect for families. They do an all age 2 hour magic show every weekend complete with illusions like floating ladies, sawing in half. It really sparked my whole families imagination. Asking questions like how did he do that?? The show has a great message that anything is possible and now my two kids want to learn magic and perform it themselves!

Could not agree with this post more than I do. My children have come to ask me for events, gatherings and experiences instead of just more stuff to clutter up our house.

Events do not always have to be expensive. Creating stories for and with my children has been part of that memory making.
